Here
is some sound booking advice to help make your hotel stays more
pleasurable.
- Non-smoking
rooms go fast;
if you are attending the annual balloon festival in Albuquerque
and need a non-smoking room, try to book your stay by July
15 at the latest.
- Whether you are
contacting the lodging facility by phone or filling out an
online reservation form, be sure to include the dates
required, size of your party and any other individual requirements such
as special health needs (vegetarian, non-smoking, disabilities),
or accommodations for your pets, and storage for any extra
gear or towables.
- Loud noises can
be annoying; ask how close the facility is to an airport, school,
playground, tram, railway, hospital, nightclub, church bells,
motorway, busy road, or any factories.
- Ask when
the property was last renovated or if major repairs
are in process or are scheduled during the time of your reservation.
- Disturbing
views can break your concentration or relaxation routines;
Check if a disturbing street, railway, factory, skyscraper
or building site is in the near vicinity or spoils the view
from your room.
- Flooded or cold
lodging facilities are no fun; Weather conditions may have
a tremendous influence upon your stay ask for
a report on the typical weather patterns during the time of your stay
and whether the facility is prone to flooding during rainstorms.
